FX fixed bearing

GL multi-directional bridge bearing

GG Single-sided bearing

FX fixed bearing The bearing does not allow any movement.
Multi-directional sliding bearing – Allows movement in all directions (horizontal and vertical) as well as rotation.
GG single-sided movable bearing Allows movement in only one direction (e.g. longitudinal).

Pot bearings offer a simple way to control impact forces from nature and traffic. Freyssinet Tetron bearings has focused on project-specific deliveries and not standardized solutions, so that each bearing is designed according to actual needs.
Spherical bearings have the same functionality as pot bearings and are available in fixed, uni-directional and multi-directional versions. They are slightly more expensive than steel pot bearings but have several advantages: they are smaller, can withstand greater rotational forces and tolerate larger temperature variations better. They are typically used for large bridges, in cold climates, and for bridges with significant rotation.
Rubber bearings are a simpler type of bearing used to absorb movements and forces in structures. They are typically used for smaller bridges and buildings where the deck absorbs the majority of the movement and loading forces.
Freyssinet has developed a wide range of TETRON® bearings based on five designs:
Freyssinet has developed a wide range of TETRON® bearings in five different designs:
-
Elastomeric bearings
-
Pot bearings
-
Spherical bearings
-
Guided and restrained bearings
-
Linear rocker bearings
Each design is available in three operating modes, allowing different translational and rotational movements to suit each structure’s function:
-
Fixed
-
Sliding
-
Free-sliding
Freyssinet’s Tetron bearings focus on project-specific deliveries rather than standardised solutions, meaning each bearing is designed according to actual needs.
All our bearings are CE marked. They are custom manufactured and can be designed and produced in accordance with different standards, the most common being EN1337 (Europe), BS 5400 (UK), AASHTO LRFD 2012 (USA) and AS 5100 (Australia).
